hi guys,
i am wondering
do you guys use OEM web console for production db ?
q1) i am having a few production dbs, none of the servers has public ip access.
if i were to access the webconsole, i would have to vnc inside the db server itself through (another server on the same network that has a public ip) and access the webconsole locally.
its so much of an hazzle.
any workaround for this ? what do you guys do ?
Regards,

If you are on the same "local" network, then just connect to EM through any browser.
If you are outside the firewall, then you do need to connect to a local network machine using VPN and use that local browser.

I have found this to be an issue as well.
I have installed OEM Grid Control on one server that can access everything on that particular network.
Now my workstation can putty to that network so what I do is the following.
Create a tunnel using putty. Mapping a Source port and Destination port.
Example in Putty under Connection -> SSH -> Tunnels
Source port 1159
Desitnation localhost:1159
I can then access em using my IE at
https://localhost:1159/em/console/logon/logon
This is a pain because I have 3 different networks that do not talk to each other....so unless you think ahead and install OEM on different ports I can only look at one network at a time.
