Message: Hello,

any suggestion if we can recover golden gate replica db by applying archive log transaction?

issue happen: yesterday our environment was stuck, extractor were get failed and so the replication. Later when oracle engineer joined in S1 issue and he starts using below commands.

alter extract extseqno 59907 extrba 112319488;
alter extract ioextseqno 59907 ioextrba 112318976;

after this startup, replicator gets failed because of data inconsistency. there are primary-foreign key relation. now I am doing it manually because my environment having few tables mismatch so complete schema export/import is not possible because of long downtime and so.

any suggestion on recovering using archive logs....

BR
Ashish

Message: You can forget about applying an archive log onto a GG database that is a replicat of another live system.

GG uses it's own trail file to move data between extracts and replicats. It's in it's own bespoke format.

If you have data inconsistency most people would just restart the extract at a known SCN and (MAYBE) be prepared to allow the replicat to work in HANDLECOLLISIONS mode.

edit params REP1
HANDLECOLLISIONS
MAP schema.table, TARGET schema.table;

And then try and sort out inconsistency afterwards.

Personally tho... Id rebuild the table. I dont really see why thats been ruled out as an option.
