Os info: RHEL Server release 6.8 (64bit)
Oracle info: oracle12c release 1
Message: Dear Friends,

In our production server memory management is static not dynamic.Automatic memory management is disabled.

We are planning to enable memory tuning and diagnostic pack.

Parameter Name Parameter Value
memory_target As per database current value
memory_max_target As per database current value
control_management_pack_access DIAGNOSTIC+TUNING
Statistics_level TYPICAL

Before enable AMM we are reviewing static parameter which is already set on Prod Server.
AMM is disabled :-

sga_max_size big integer 2512M
pga_aggregate_limit big integer 2G
pga_aggregate_target big integer 800M

java_pool_size big integer 64M
large_pool_size big integer 208M
shared_pool_size big integer 912M
streams_pool_size big integer 96M

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After AMM enabled:-

we set memory_max_target= sga_max_size + pga_aggregate_limit = 4GB;
or memory_max_target= sga_max_size + pga_aggregate_target=2.8GB but max size of PGA depends on pga_aggregate_limit.
and memory_target=2GB

After enabling AMM memory_max_target value must be 4GB or 2.8GB

But I feel that memory_max_target must be 4GB.
It is urgent. So please reply ...:-)

Thanks in advance

Regards
Prasathi

Message: Hi Friends,

pga_aggregate_limit is oracle12c parameter which is set in production server because of this I have little confusion.

It is silly question but sorry for that.

Prasathi
