Message: Hello,

My Company Supports Large number of Database / Infrastructure customers .
For the DBA Operations support given by my company, Usually we follow unit based pricing model (X Oracle Instances * Y rate for a month)

With the introduction of Oracle 12C Container Instances, normal instances are getting migrated to pluggable databases, The overall # of instances (NOT Databases) are coming down . This will affect the pricing by the customer to us - DBA Ops service provider (NOT to Oracle)

If any of you have a pricing model suggestions in a hybrid environment (12c containers & others), Please do let me know

regards
RKR

Why don't you define yours?
It is ab issue between you and customers, why should anyone interfere?
It only depends on your definition of "DBA Operations" you have and how migrating to PDB changes them.

Michel

Message: Change the working from "instance" to "Database" and you will basically have the same pricing model again.
