Message: Hi all,

out of "reasons" I need to move an OWB repository from one database into a new one.

A short google search ("Oracle Warehouse Builder datapump" and some similar things) did not reveal anything that tells me

* Is this possible
* If so, do I need to do anything special
* etc.

While I'll keep searching (and keep trying to reach some people with more OWB know how than me): Does any one here have practical experience with something like this?

Regards,
Jan

As far as I know OWB has been deprecated since a few years.

My knowledge of OWB itself is limited but years ago I participated in a DW project with OWB involved.

You can export OWB metadata from a database 1 and import that into a database 2.

The below URL is at least a starting point, not more than that

https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/owb.112/e17130/toc.htm

Message: Thanks Guy,

a colleague told me, that an export/import should be possible. She also told me, that MOS Doc ID 434272.1 is involved in the post-migration steps.

We'll try to test this in the next weeks. I'll try to post an update here, afterwards.

Regards,
Jan
