Oracle info: 11g
Message: Hi ,


For linux patching, we need to down the db and cluster.

when i am shunting down the cluster, some of crs services coming up. what would be the reason?? and how to over come this issue??

i tried with below command
crsctl stop crs
crsctl stop crs -f .

Pls suggest in this regards,

Message: Hello,

you would need to provide us with more info (output from the commands you are running). Please also check the crs logfiles:

$CRS_HOME/log/<nodename>/alert<nodename>.log

after stopping the cluster, check and provide output :
crsctl stat res -t
crsctl stat res -t -init

Also check if you don't have any cronjob or any other job starting your crs (could be from other nodes of the cluster)
