Message: Dear all,

This is just an assumption case.

Suppose i have only 1 copy of OCR.
If my OCR is getting corrupted, then how much time my cluster ware will run ?

Is this right ?

I think till i reboot my machine ..there will be NO problem.

Thanks

Message: Hi Jill,

Although I do not have experience with RAC, can you post what you can see in the log file(s) as well as in the alert log?
For my understanding, how do you define a "corrupted" OCR?

Kind Regards.

Message: Hi Jill,

I would assume, that the clusterware would keep running. But it wouldn't come up again, if stopped.

I base my assumptions on the fact that the documentation tells you, that you might need to stop the clusterware befor being able to restore the OCR from a backup.

Regards,
Jan
