Message: Hi Guys

I have upgraded the database from Oracle 12.1.0.2.0 to Oracle 12.2.0.1.0. Now, I am experiencing slow response on queries.

I read some articles on the net about adaptive optimizer features on 12c R2.

Where people recommend making changes to the Adaptive Query Optimization:

ALTER SESSION SET OPTIMIZER_ADAPTIVE_PLANS = FALSE;
ALTER SESSION SET OPTIMIZER_ADAPTIVE_STATISTICS = FALSE;

Please help...

Thanks in advance...

If it's not this it must be one of the several hundred other possible reasons. (Piece a cake for us, we'll tweak parameters one by one ;-).

I guess you're guessing (again). I guess not all queries are running slow. I guess you have at least installed the latest CPU on top of 12.2.0.1 (btw. why 12.2.0.1 and not 12.2.0.2?),...and so on and so on...if you want to try running queries on 12.2.0.1 under 12.2.0.1 features find my answer on this site, I was writing about this not long ago...

Regards,
Ales
