Hi everyone,
I wish that you and all the people you care for, are all feeling good. Actually, I still am :)
I have a question regarding java version for my database. I wanted to test the latest version of the autoupgrade tool (last one was released a few days ago), but I had an error dealing with the version of Java installed. I have Java 1.6 installed with Oracle 12.1.0.2 and Autoupgrade needs version 1.8 to work (and it seems that it is only available directly with Oracle 12.2). I can't upgrade yet because I have a migration project (12.1.0.2 to 19.9) and the version for windows has not been released yet.
So does anyone have an idea to change my Java version without changing Oracle version ? Or shall I wait for Oracle 19c to do it ? Or maybe use an older version of autoupgrade, at last to get the preupgrade advice ?

Yes,
The latest autoupgrade is good.
And you need to download Jdk runtime version 8.

THanks for your reply. This is what I thought I would have to do but :
- is it certified with Oracle 12.1.0.2 ? I may have seen that the max version was 1.7
- you don't have to pay any extra license for that ?
Actually, all the Oracle JDK (except for Oracle Database of course) are being replaced by open JDK because my company doesn't want to pay any more license ... So this is why I'm wondering ...

I have the ability to upgrade the Java version from 1.6 to 1.7 with a patch for 12.1.0.2 and then maybe upgrade it to 1.8 which would let me use the autoupgrade tool. Or I can (will ? :)) install directly the latest 19.9 Oracle version which already have the Java 1.8 version ...
